‘Jolly Day Out’ in aid of LOROS Hospice

Leicestershire’s leading independent flooring retailer, Michael John Flooring, recently held a charity event aimed at raising valuable funds for the Leicester based hospice, LOROS.

The event, involved a number of clients from across the construction, architecture and home-improvement industries and was hosted by Leicester City legend, Matt Elliott, and part-organised by the ‘Steaming Billy’ brewery. The invited guests had the chance to enjoy some of Leicestershire’s finest pubs and restaurants, with a number of activities throughout the day to help raise as much money as possible.

2016 is a special year for Michael John Flooring, as it’s the 70th year since the doors opened to the Leicestershire public, and the LOROS Hospice is the official nominated charity for a number of events throughout the year.

Managing Director at Michael John Flooring, Simon Manley, commented:

‘’We have been delighted with the response to our 70th anniversary celebrations so far this year, and the ‘Jolly Day Out’ was the first real opportunity we have had to share this occasion with our valued clients. The turnout was extremely good, and it was a very enjoyable day, expertly hosted by Matt Elliott. Of course, the main focus of the event was to help raise funds for LOROS, and we’re hopeful of being able to push close to £5,000 mark for this event alone. I would also like to personally thank everyone who attended the event and their generous donations are very much appreciated by everyone here at Michael John Flooring’’.
